We have selected our guest bloggers for the 2017 Annual Convention, and they are ready to begin sharing their stories and event experiences with you. The convention will take place October 25-27 at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate in Florida.
Meet our guest bloggers!
Artak Gevorgian is the director of finance at the Jordan Valley Marriott Dead Sea Resort & Spa in Sweimeh, Jordan. He first joined Marriott International in 2008 as assistant director of finance at the Renaissance Samara hotel in Russa. He worked in finance for other Marriott hotels in Kazahkstan and Russia, before moving to the Middle East as director of finance for Kempinski Hotel & Residences Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He then returned to Marriott International and has been in his current position with the Dead Sea Resort since June 2016.
Artak writes, “As a first-time participant, possibly the first from the Middle East area, to the HFTP Annual Convention, I look forward to understanding and getting the full insights of HFTP and its convention. I believe this convention organized by HFTP will be the best of all educational and informative events of this nature, along with its tremendous networking opportunities.”
Beth Hawks is the director of marketing for Blueprint RF in Norcross, Georgia, a company that provides network solutions to meet the needs of hotels, their staff, and their guests. For more than two decades, Beth’s communications career has centered around the hospitality and travel industry. She cultivated a love for the hospitality spirit as public relations counsel for some of the world’s leading hotel brands. Her industry mantra is – there is much more to hospitality than “heads in beds.”
When asked what she looks forward to at the Annual Convention, Beth writes, “I am excited to look to the future and explore how technology can further enhance the guest experience.”
Why do we always have guest bloggers at Annual Convention?
This is a chance for you to see the convention through the eyes of your like-minded peers, whether they be seasoned hospitality industry experts or young professionals eager to share the lessons they learned.
We encourage our guest bloggers to write about any of the aspects of the convention that inspires them. They can write about what it was like just to be an attendee, their favorite parts of the event, what they learned from the education sessions, or why they think it’s important to attend the convention. They might also use the opportunity to reflect on their HFTP membership and its impact as an industry professional, to discuss HFTP volunteer opportunities, or to share their experiences participating in various HFTP activities.
When should people expect to read our bloggers’ posts?
Each blogger will write and publish three blog posts. They will each publish a post before the event, during the convention, and after the event. Be sure to continue checking our HFTP Connect Blog in the coming weeks to read all about their professional insights and convention experiences.
We want to hear from you!
Comment on our guest writers’ blogs and start the conversation. We love the feedback, and everyone benefits from the sharing of ideas.
