This past year, 2013, brought many changes to HFTP and the association hopes to grow even more in the new year. With growth comes new benefits for HFTP members. Recently, HFTP has partnered with other organizations to offer world class education, extended office hours for increased accessibility to staff, revamped CPE tracking capabilities, and continued savings programs to relevant businesses. Below are details on the great new benefits HFTP members were able to experience in 2014.
AICPA and FICPA
In partnership with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), HFTP is proud to offer its members a 10 percent discount on select ethics courses. Additionally, the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA) is offering HFTP members a generous 10 percent discount on all educational offerings, including conferences. While any member can take advantage of this discount, it is particularly geared towards CHAE and CHTP certified individuals so that they can easily meet the new ethics requirement for certification maintenance.
Office Hours
As HFTP grows globally, it recognizes the need for staff to be more readily accessible. New office hours were implemented after the Annual Convention and Tradeshow in October. The expanded office hours are as follows:
Sunday: 6 p.m. – 3 a.m. CST
Monday: 7:30 a.m. – 3 a.m. CST
Tuesday: 7:30 a.m. – Midnight CST
Wednesday: 7:30 a.m. – 3 a.m. CST
Thursday: 7:30 a.m. – 3 a.m. CST
Friday: 7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. CST
Saturday: CLOSED
CPE Tracking
The HFTP certification department has experienced a great many changes in the recent months. Perhaps the most anticipated, is the ability to track CPE credits online. Members can now view, add new credits and see how many more credits are needed to fulfill a given maintenance cycle. Additionally, members can register for upcoming events that are available for CPE credits via the ‘My Education’ page of the HFTP web site to allow for a more organized way of managing member certification programs.

Chapter Support
HFTP is pleased to welcome two new staff members to the membership department who will be working exclusively with the chapters. Sarie Tocket, HFTP’s Chapter Relations – Event Coordinator, is responsible for assisting the domestic chapters in planning regional conferences. Caleb Williams, HFTP’s Chapter Relations – Marketing Coordinator, is responsible for communicating with the international chapters during the office’s extended hours, as well as updating and maintaining chapter web sites.
Sarie and Caleb are available to chapters who need assistance planning chapter meetings, finding speakers, coordinating mailings and researching area member leads along with many other tasks.
