An Evening to Remember: Experience the HFTP 2019 Annual Tribute to Success

This year at the 2019 HFTP Annual Convention, the “Annual Tribute to Success” will be an enchanting, sea-inspired evening of celebration dedicated to the recognition of the individuals who have made a significant impact on both HFTP and the hospitality community in the past year. Cap off the HFTP 2019 Annual Convention with an elegant dinner and awards presentation, then dance the night away to live music from a local, five-piece band.

The 2019 Tribute to Success will be held on Friday, October 25 at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando, Florida USA. It will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. and last until midnight.

Dress for the occasion: Tuxedo rentals available.

The 2019 Tribute to Success will be an ocean-themed, black-tie optional event. Gentlemen will have the option to take advantage of a tuxedo rental service, with advanced fittings available on  Wednesday, October 23 from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the Rosen Centre Hotel.

Stop by the photo studio to have your picture taken.

All dressed up and would like a professional to capture it? HFTP will host a pop-up portrait studio at the entrance to the ballroom where the 2019 Tribute to Success will take place. Commemorate your evening by having a studio-quality portrait taken of you, your date, your friends and your colleagues. Digital and print photos will be available to purchase.

Place your bids in the HFTP Foundation Silent Auction before it closes.

The competition will heat up as the HFTP Foundation Silent Auction comes to a close. Attendees will want to make sure to get in their final bids before the 10:00 p.m. deadline.

All proceeds will benefit the HFTP Foundation, which secures funds for hospitality and travel industry-related research, educational projects and scholarships.

Celebrate HFTP and the individuals who shined brightly in the past year.

The 2019 Tribute to Success is an opportunity to celebrate the stars of HFTP who have inspired, achieved, took risks and succeeded in the past year on behalf of HFTP and the hospitality industry.

Thomas “Tom” Smith, CHAE will accept the HFTP 2019 Paragon Award, given to him in honor of his significant, lasting contributions to the association. Read the HFTP Connect blog post “And the 2019 HFTP Paragon Award Goes to…  to learn more about Tom and what his colleagues had to say about his endless enthusiasm, strength in leadership, dedication to and passion for not only HFTP but also the entire hospitality community.

During the evening, HFTP will further recognize Ke (Freeman) Deng, CHAE as the 2019 Certified Hospitality Accountant Executive (CHAE®) of the Year, a special award that goes to the individual who scored the highest on the CHAE certification exam within a given year.

HFTP will also honor the incoming HFTP Global Leadership, including the induction of Michael Levie, CHTP as the incoming HFTP Global president for the 2019–2020 year.

Dance the night away with music from local live band Blender.

Back by popular demand, HFTP has enlisted a local, live band to provide the musical entertainment. Orlando-area band Blender offers a great mix of everyone’s favorite cover songs, from classic and modern rock to pop favorites from the 80s all the way up to today’s biggest radio hits — plus they sprinkle in great oldies and cool Motown classics. There will be a variety of music for everyone to enjoy.

Dance the night away or bob your head and tap your feet along to incredible music from this upbeat five-piece band with guitar, bass, keyboard, saxophone, drums and excellent vocal harmonies.
