Annual Convention Connections — Education Isn’t Always in the Classroom

We’re excited that our 61st Annual Convention & Tradeshow is right around the corner! The Education Advisory Council and our own staff have gone to great lengths to make this a great event. With the new-themed education this year, attendees can make the convention work for them by picking and choosing what areas of their career they want to learn more about. Although, the meeting is filled with classroom education, nowadays not all of the learning takes place inside the classroom. The convention offers many opportunities for attendees a chance to really connect and discuss the industry with other attendees while offering a little fun for you as well.

First-time Attendee Orientation
For those joining us for the first time this event is just for you. Hear from attendees who attend the convention year after year to learn how to navigate the conference and get the most out of your time in Dallas.

Welcome Reception & Exhibits
This is our first big get together at the convention, offering a perfect opportunity to connect with long-time HFTP members and meet new ones while getting some one-on-one time with some of the industry’s most innovative companies. This is where connections are made and renewed.

GOLF 20X
Are you better connecting on the course than at a party? Check out GOLF 20X and the cool technologies specific to the golf industry. Take a swing in the golf simulator or just take a walk on the wild side of golf.

HFTP Volunteer Reception
For those that have dedicated their time and energy to the success of our organization through service on committees, council or task forces, as well as those who have brought new members into the HFTP family, we want to throw a party just for you to say thank you. Check your packet upon arrival for an invitation.

Young Professional Reception
Not only does the conference offer a Young Professional education track, but we also offer this fun way to connect with other young professionals at the convention. Young at heart? You’re welcome to join us and share some of your industry wisdom and connect with our younger attendees.

HFTP North Texas Chapter Party: 70’s Night
The HFTP North Texas Chapter members along with their generous sponsors are hosting a ‘70s Party Night at the Starlight Room in downtown Dallas. The chapter event is always fun and provides a great way to get to know HFTP members from the local area. Don’t miss the chance to celebrate the glorious decade of disco, mood rings, lava lamps and pet rocks.

Annual Business Meeting & Luncheon
HFTP takes on a number of initiatives all year-long. This luncheon is a great way to meet our global officers, as well as hear all about what the association has been up to since last year. Also, take this chance to hear about all of the benefits your membership dollars afford you…you may be surprised at how much you have access to as a member.

President’s Evening Gala — A Night in New York
Of all of our events throughout the week this is definitely one you DO NOT want to miss. Between celebrating our incoming Global President and enjoying a delicious meal, you will be so glad you came. There’ll be dancing and drinks until midnight. This is a great way to have one last fun-filled night with the connections you made throughout the week. The music is fun and the party never seems to end.

Most importantly don’t forget to bring your business cards. You’ll be making a great deal of connections, a benefit that lasts not only through the week, but also throughout your career.
