HFTP Hospitality Technology Hall of Fame Showcases Innovators in Hospitality Technology

This HFTP recognition names industry influencers for over 30 years. Continue the tradition with a nomination for 2020 — The deadline to submit your nomination is April 13, 2020.

Innovative developments and applications in technology have propelled the hospitality industry forward, the result of hard work and creative thinking by a few people who had the vision to see what technology could mean to the future of the hospitality industry. In recognition of these visionaries and their impact on the hospitality industry, HFTP established the International Hospitality Technology Hall of Fame in 1989.

The Hall of Fame is HFTP’s highest level of recognition in the area of technology. Since 1989, 45 individuals have received this award as a reflection of their contributions to the hospitality industry. The men and women in the Hall of Fame range in their areas of expertise. Inductees include hoteliers who have used technology to create a seamless guest experience in this tech-age. Others are vendors who have perfected a system – such as revenue management and connectivity — to maximize efficiency and intelligence for operations. A few are analysts and consultants who study the industry and help guide strategic decisions. Among the group are also industry advocates who report on trends and promote programs to build a cohesive industry. The list grows and highlights the best in the field.

To be included as an inductee is truly one of the highest levels of accomplishment in hospitality technology. Sudharshan Chary, the 2019 inductee, stated, "I am deeply honored to be recognized for my contributions to the hospitality industry. 2020 Selection – Nominate a Deserving Individual

The Hall of Fame has three decades behind it and HFTP is committed to continue to recognize and record the influential professionals in the decade to come. To help with this endeavor, consider nominating a deserving individual to be considered for the two 2020 Hall of Fame inductee positions. The inductees will be recognized in a special presentation at HITEC San Antonio on June 16, 2020.

Inductees are selected by a committee of peers. These individuals review nomination packages for nominees who represent the best in innovation and application and as leaders in their profession.

To be eligible for induction into the HFTP International Hospitality Technology Hall of Fame, an individual must have made significant and lasting contributions to hospitality technology in any or all of the following areas:

• Development — Developed a product or service that has significantly improved the industry.

• Application — Through the successful application of technology, advanced the industry and improved guest service.

• Promotion — Through his or her promotional efforts, significantly expanded the role technology has played in the hospitality industry

Nominations are accepted through April 13, 2020.
